Hampshire Open Studios 2015

Recently I have been kept very busy with work commissioned by artists, participating in the "Hampshire Open Studios 2015" . It runs until the end of August, and is an opportunity to visit local artists and their galleries. I am always inspired by the range of artistic skill and talent displayed during this annual event. Yesterday I enjoyed visiting a couple of the venues in Romsey. The Artseen Group are exhibiting their work in the Rum's Eg Gallery. I had my picture taken outside, because a painting of San Gimignano, framed by me, for the artist Lynne Reeves, is displayed in the window. Of course it is Lynne's very fine work that is the focal point, but I did have a small part in the presentation! Also in Romsey, many more artist are exhibiting their work at the King John's House. Well worth a visit.
As a picture framer I am willing and happy to frame almost anything, however I find it most satisfying, and like to specialise in, framing work for artists. Romsey artist Bev Nichol is a new customer for me. Some of her paintings are exhibited for the Open Studio event at the Sarisbury Green Community Centre. I thought Bev's frame design choices worked well with her impressive work (picture in the middle below).
